Matthew Dean Parkes

Matt is a UK qualified Architect with over 30 years’ experience working across many sectors with a strong concept, detailed design delivery and management background at project and director level.

He has lived and worked in the UK, Hong Kong and Vietnam. He holds an MSc in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, and is passionate about the environment and sustainable architecture. In 2001 he won the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition architectural prize for the Fogcatcher, a building design that harvested water from fog in the Namibian desert.

He never hesitates to think outside of the box and believes that this, accompanied with teamwork, mutual respect and the ability to listen,is key to delivering project success. Previously chair of the RIBA Plymouth Branch and a RIBA student mentor at the University of Plymouth, he has also been a visiting lecturer at Universities in the UK and Vietnam.
