John Green

John has over 30 years of experience working on providing low carbon solutions and managing initiatives to address climate change. He has worked on sustainable energy projects in over 20 countries, including working with NGOs to explore how to reduce the reliance on nuclear power in Ukraine and Japan. He has a PhD in Energy Systems and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology. John is a Low Carbon City Officer at Plymouth City Council, managing the Mobility Hubs project which will result in over 400 e-bikes, 300 electric vehicle charging bays and a car club becoming operational within Plymouth.  Outside of work, he is Chair of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership Committee and is supporting the Devon Local Nature Partnership launch their Community Wildlife of the Year Awards.
