Mark Hodgson

Mark started Co Cars in 2005. His vision was for a car club that would allow residents and businesses across Exeter and the southwest to share vehicles, thereby reducing the number of private cars on the road, congestion and carbon emissions to help create better places for people to live and work.

The business now comprises of a network of over 50 zero / low emission cars, a rapidly expanding e-bike network and e-cargo bike deliveries, with ambitious growth plans in place across the next couple of years. 

Mark’s experience means that his expertise is in great demand by organisations including local authorities and housing developers, many of whom are now designing low-traffic, people-first developments where the private car is just one – and by no means the most important – way of moving. 

Mark is also on the board of CoMoUK, the industry body that represents integrated mobility solutions.
